Purpose: This paper aims at investigating the content of qualitative-based research on sport management published in scientific research journals indexed in the Islamic World Citation Database.Methodology: 166 qualitative articles published in scientific research journals approved by the Ministry of Science during the years 1390 to 1399 were analyzed. We use a coding checklist whose validity is confirmed by sports management experts. Also, the reliability of the checklist was obtained using the agreement coefficient between the coders of 88.50%.Finding: findings of this work demonstrate that majority of the articles employ the grounded theory(66/8%). furthermore, semi-structured interviews(56/6%) appear to be the most popular data collection method., purposive sampling(29/5%) open, axial, and selective coding(82/5%) seem to be the most popular ones. Also, in many of articles(41%), no data triangulation is reported. In addition, only in ten percent of cases, present suggestions and recommendation for future researchers. Conclusion: In recent years, an increasing trend for qualitative-based research in the sport management literature has been observed. Therefore, by highlighting the weaknesses and limitations of qualitative studies, solutions to improve future studies have been proposed.

Objective: Today, equitable access to land and its optimal use and location organization are essential components of sustainable development and space planning. In this regard, the purpose of this study is development of the construction and operation of sport projects in terms of land use planning using geographic information system.Methodology: The present study was a descriptive, survey and took place in the Alborz province. As a first step, the library and fuzzy Delphi methods were used to determine the most important criteria affecting the selection of sports places. In the fuzzy Delphi section, the questionnaires were distributed to 14 experts in three Delphi stages and the results led to the selection and weighting of criteria affecting the spatial land use of sports places. The second step is to determine the development situation and the needs and shortcomings of the existing sports facilities and to select the optimal areas for the construction of new sports facilities, descriptive and spatial information was collected and converted into GIS software input using Excel and AutoCAD software. Results: In the first step, the results showed that among the extracted criteria, 10 criteria were selected which were effective on sport sites locating in Alborz province and were used respectively of weight and importance. In the second step, according to the findings, most of the available sport places in Alborz province were in medium and above average spatial condition, in addition, considering the research criteria, the areas that were in very good condition were proposed for new sports projects construction. Conclusion: Overall, the results suggest suitable areas for construction of sport facilities in terms of land use on the basis of the criteria laid down in the present study. According to spatial-spatial planning, most of the sports venues in the province are in average and above-average positions, so spatial optimization can be used to further improve the current situation.

Objective: The purpose of the present study was to examine the competitiveness and growth of small and medium-sized sports businesses.Method: The research method was quantitative (descriptive-correlational) conducted in two phases of Delphi and survey. The statistical population consisted of faculty members of the faculties of physical education and management with specialization in sport entrepreneurship and business management. In the first step, the researcher identified and categorized by comparative study of conceptual model of exogenous factor relationships in the form of 9 main factors and 23 items; endogenous factors in the form of 8 main factors with 48 items and competitiveness index in 9 dimensions with 28 items in sport business level. Then a Delphi panel of 21 accredited sports business experts and ultimately 180 sports business owners responded to the tool. Results: The results of structural equation modeling analysis showed that the effect of exogenous factors on competitiveness and growth of businesses had more effect on endogenous factors than on endogenous factors, respectively. Generally, customer satisfaction, productivity, future capabilities, financial indices, contract growth, employee satisfaction, community satisfaction explained significantly constructs of competitiveness. Conclusion: The conceptual model of competitiveness mutual relations creates a new approach in the analysis of competitive variables and enables managers to better understanding the relevance of competitiveness factors and indices to the development of an internal competitiveness measurement system for sports businesses to analyze performance and factors of their competitiveness.
