Abstract
Objective: The literature of strategic management is clearly advocating and supporting the effectiveness of strategic plans as the effectiveness of the strategic planning of an organization is associated with the level of implementing the targets with task results. The aim of the present study was to examine the influence of Managers’ authority and strategic control level on the effectiveness of the strategic plans through political behaviors in Ministry of Sport and Youth.
Methodology: The present research is an applicable research in terms of objective. It is quantitative in terms of strategy, correlative in terms of implementation route, field research in terms of data collection, and providential temporally. The statistical society of the research was all employees of Ministry of Sport and Youth. The sample volume was estimated 370 people and the sampling method was simple stochastic. Questionnaire was used in order to collect the data and in order to analyze the findings, structural equation modeling was applied.
Results: Analysis of the findings showed that in one case independent variables influence the strategic plans and in other cases, these factors reduce political behavior. It was also found that political behavior had a negative impact on the effectiveness of strategic plans.
Conclusion: Based on the findings of this research, the effectiveness of strategic plans is influenced by political behaviors, the discretion of managers, and the level of strategic control.
