Abstract
Objective: The purpose of this study is to present the commercialization model of Iran's football industry based on sustainable development and performance.
Methodology: Due to the exploratory nature of the research, the qualitative research method was used to present a model related to the research topic. For this purpose, semi-structured interviews were conducted with 28 experts. According to the Charmaz Foundation data method, the research sample was selected as a combination of theoretical sampling and snowball sampling
Results: The results of the research showed that Iran's football industry does not have a stable performance in both revenue and sports sectors due to severe weakness in profitability . According to the results of based on sustainable development and performance in three structural levels including (macroeconomic, ownership and investment), contextual (policy making, planning and management) ) and institutional (sports, income, infrastructure, management) can be investigated.
Conclusion: The main core of the football industry is made up of sports clubs, and since almost the entire structure of football in the country is state-owned, for effective commercialization based on sustainable development and performance in both sports and revenue sectors, it should be done with appropriate measures, compliance with requirements and fashion. Considering the considerations of the presented model, it provided the basis for making the clubs profitable and in the future the financial and managerial independence of the club. In order to finally be able to provide the basis for the optimal entry of clubs into the capital market by acquiring these previous properties.
